This year our theme is ‘The Rainforest’. We have a range of book related activities organised for the children, over the week, including inviting parents and grandparents to come into school and share the reading experience with their children. This will take place between 9.20am and 9.40am on the following mornings:
- Monday 4th March- for the parents/grandparents of children in Year 3
- Tuesday 5th March – for the parents/grandparents of children in Year 4
- Wednesday 6th March – for the parents/grandparents of children in Year 5
- Thursday 7th March – for the parents/grandparents of children in Year 6
If you would like to join us on the above dates, please report to the school office at 9.20am.
On Thursday 7th March, ‘World Book Day’ the whole school will carry out a ‘Dress Up’ day-this is a change from previous years. This year the children have been asked to dress up in accordance with the theme – ‘The Rainforest’. Costume ideas could include animals, birds, creepy crawlies, explorers, plants and anything else you can think of as long as it is Rainforest themed.
On the day, prizes will be awarded to children for the tasks they have completed, during the week, as well as certificates for best costumes!
